The Grand Hotel Dargha Gate, Sylhet

My experience with this hotel was quite disturbing. Didn't let me check in before 1 pm. Complementary break fast was burnt and cold.. Non ac room had bad smells. And the bathroom was smaller than a chickens coop. We literally had to take shower shanding on the commode.

I stayed there for one night. All in all it was good. Breakfast was free. But the wash room in their non AC room felt very small.Room rent is fine.

The location is perfect. But the problem is the hotel Couldn't complete my expectations. I booked it from Booking dot com 2 days before reaching sylhet. Booking dot com confirm the room. But when I called the hotel they said I have to pay in advance. But the website says no need to pay before reaching the venue. However I paid 50% online. The room is not up to the mark. The washroom is so tiny. Licked water all night. The room does not even have a window.
They provide breakfast in the room.
However, there are many more things to improve. Good luck.

A Disappointing Stay
My recent stay at The Grand Hotel BD was unfortunately far from satisfactory. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel fell short of basic expectations in both service and facilities.
Overall, I cannot recommend The Grand Hotel BD based on my experience. With so many better options available at similar prices, I would advise travelers to look elsewhere. A hotel stay should be relaxing and enjoyable, but unfortunately, this one was frustrating and below standard

Room is very basic and simple, but this is the price you pay. The staff and customer service is supper! Cancellation policy is absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately the location is very busy.

They are a dakat, rip off. They charged us double. Even though online it was written 2k, last year my parents stayed at same rate. They refused to book online and said it's Eid bazar. So we have to pay 4k. Straight away double.

It’s a Really good Hotel for those who love to ignore rules 😂. Had some beat memory there friendly staffs and good rooms and toilet. Best Location for low price.

This hotel doesn't comply with their commitments. In dec 24 I booked a room through booking.com from Australia and cancelled couple of hours earlier than 24 hours. They didn't refund money. I called their help desk, they said we will call you back and didn't call me back till now or didn't try to email me back. Very unprofessional and horrible service. Think twice before book in this hotel. I don't recommend this hotel for anyone.
